The ROSA e.V. is active as a halle association for safe places for all, and we are particularly concerned about the visibility of women and queer people on the run as well as a feminist practice of empowerment and political ability to act.

The campaign “Votes against the Crisis” was launched to demonstrate a political capacity for action within civil society shortly before the state elections in Saxony-Anhalt and at the same time to point out the imminent crisis in the case of a strong fascist force in the state parliament.

According to recent press reports about the house rules of the Strandbad Heidesee, we feel the responsibility to take a stand and condemn any kind of exclusion in the strongest possible terms. As an association committed to an open migration society and safe places for all, we have decided to move our event of the “Voices against the Crisis” campaign to the Heidesee and make it clear in the form of a joint singing and picnic that we have a civil society response to exclusion.

After several discussions with the bathing lake operator Matthias Nobel, we consider the mutually agreed cancellation of tomorrow’s rally to be a success and agreement that an open bathing lake is as important to Nobel as it is to us and that a solution and a further approach is being worked on. It is important for us to make it clear that there is no interest in polarisation, which is why the common positions have become clear through various discussions. As a long-standing supporter of civil society engagement for refugees, Mathias Nobel makes an important contribution to an open and diverse society in the region.

As ROSA e.V. we also support various safety concerns in the outdoor pool, especially women and queer people have an increased risk of experiencing hostility or attacks in the outdoor pool. We therefore support the intention to revise an outdoor pool safety concept and are happy to do so.
